On October 7, 1542, Portuguese explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo discovered an island know to the natives as Pimu. Cabrillo clamed it for Spain, and name it San Salvador after his ship. 60 years later the island was rediscovered(?) by, another Spanish explorer, Sebastian Vizcaino. ...
